
We at Råda Industries have extensive experience in bending and press braking. We have modern CNC-controlled machines, which enables efficient production of parts as well as high angular accuracy, even in complex components.
We offer sheet metal press braking in thicknesses up to approximately 15 mm and in lengths up to 3 meters, with a maximum pressing force of 170 tonnes.
We have a wide range of press brake tools, and it is also possible to manufacture new tools according to your specifications.
How does press braking work?


For the technically curious, here is an explanation.
In a press brake, the sheet metal is formed by pressing together an upper tool (also called a punch) and a die. Our machines are CNC-controlled (Computer Numerical Control), which means the operator programs the machine numerically.
Different lengths, materials, thicknesses, etc., mean that varying amounts of pressing force are required to bend the sheet metal. This is obviously not something you as a customer need to keep track of, but it can be good to know.
During air bending, a certain amount of material stretching occurs. Therefore, to achieve the most accurate dimensions possible during bending, we adjust the developed length of the sheet based on factors such as the radius, material, and thickness of the sheet.
